ISSA offers both individual and family counselling from a spiritual and cultural compatible paradigm and within the Canadian legal framework. Counseling areas include pre and post marital, grief, divorce, inter-generational conflict, domestic violence, and addictions.

ISSA provides seminars and workshops to both Muslim and mainstream organizations and communities. These programs are designed and developed to cater to specific issues of the organization/community and include topics such as Islam 101, Canadian Muslims and marriage.ISSA also provides information and training to mainstream organizations that increase their ability to provide culturally competent services.

preventative family support services
PFSS is a project implemented to provide support for Muslim children, families and service providers within the Child Welfare System. Created in August 2015, the PFSS has begun a Foster Parent recruitment drive, begun developing targeted parenting skills training, and has established support groups for both foster youth and foster parents. The PFSS offers counselling and mediation supports as well.
